The NBA Draft is finally here. The next generation of professional basketball players will be chosen after a delayed start for the 2020-21 season, nine days from the first NBA Championship since 1971.

The Detroit Pistons will draw all eyes, as they have the No. The Detroit Pistons will be the No. 1 overall pick in Thursday’s draft. They took St. Bonaventure center Bob Lanier in 1970. He was drafted first by the team 10 years ago. Detroit will likely select Oklahoma State's 6-foot-8 point-guard this time.Cade Cunningham.

The 19-year old traveled to Michigan earlier this week for a predraft workout with the Pistons. He already feels that Detroit suits him. He also signed a multi-year endorsement deal with Nike - which he wore at OSU, where Cunningham was named a consensus All-America.

The shooting guard is another top prospect in this year’s draftJalen Green (G League Ignite), centerEvan Mobley(Southern Cal), and Gonzaga guardJalen Suggs. Thursday night will determine when they are picked and where they will go.

The Houston Rockets currently have three picks in the NBA Draft. All three of them are in the first round. After posting a 1755 record in the past season, they won the second overall selection. They will then make back-toback selections after acquiring Portland’s No. 23 and Milwaukee's 24 picks. 24 picks.

The Oklahoma City Thunder, who hold the No. 6, 16, and 18 picks in this draft. The Thunder have six picks in total, which is the most this year.

When is the NBA Draft?

The 2021 NBA Draft will be held Thursday, at 8 p.m. ET. The event will take place at the Barclays Center, Brooklyn. It will be held in person with approximately 20 prospects.

What to watch on TV

ESPN will broadcast both rounds of the NBA Draft live starting at 8 p.m. ET. ABC will also broadcast the draft live on the air for the first-time.
