Celtic v Motherwell - Injury update: Steelmen leave 'little bare" ahead of Parkhead

Graham Alexander, Motherwell manager, says he will have to alter his team against Celtic today as more injuries occur.

Alexander is now able to tackle some health issues for the Parkhead trip after a brief period of fitness.

Motherwell finished the game last week with Bevis Mugabi, a fit centre-back. Ricki Lamie was unable to continue the match due to injury, while Juhani Ojala and Sondre Solholm Jonsen were both out injured.

After three wins out of four, Fir Park's manager has been awarded November's Manager Of The Month. This comes after a difficult October in which they lost a match.

Alexander believes his side has been great in their response, but Alexander is going to Glasgow to face Celtic.

He stated that "We are a bit stripped to be truthful." There are a few injuries that we have had from the previous week, so we may have to switch players or change some of our recent activities.

"We will give these players every chance to be fit for Sunday, but I don't see it being exactly the same team as last week.

"We look forward to it – it's an opportunity to see how much have we improved, certainly over the last month. It's one the toughest tests you will face.

"The players deserve enormous credit for coming back from it and showing what an excellent team we are, how good our squad is, because we haven’t used just the 11 same players. We have had to use the entire squad.

"That is what has made me the most happy, that we have looked at them, tried to improve, and we have improved.

"The players are open to the idea of what we needed to do to improve their game. This is what I value most. It's because I know that you work with great personalities, good characters and good footballers.

"But we must maintain that consistency. This is the trait we want to pursue and I believe we have the players to achieve it."
