According to the French Football Federation, Chelsea's Kante is "fully recovering" from a left ankle injury. Bayern Munich's Tolisso suffered a muscular injury to his left calf.

After three rounds, Les Bleus are at the top of Group C.

They begin a week-long series of matches in Strasbourg against Bosnia and Herzegovina, before moving to Kiev to face second-placed Ukraine. On Saturday, they will host Finland in Lyon.

Guendouzi & Rabiot will be absent Wednesday's match and will join the team in Strasbourg on Thursday morning.

Rabiot, who is 19-caps, was not originally called up by Didier deschamps as he wasn't in the Juventus squad for the Serie A season opener. However, he was named after the France squad was announced and he played against Empoli on Saturday.

Guendouzi was called up twice by Deschamps in 2019, but he didn't make the team. The 22-year-old scored against Saint-Etienne on Saturday at Marseille, where he is on loan from Arsenal.

Deschamps has Paul Pogba, Thomas Lemar, and uncapped newcomers Jordan Veretout, and Aurelien Tchouameni, as options for midfield.
