Arminia Bielefeld's relegation from the Bundesliga is followed by an ever deeper fall. After an early change of coach, the club remains undefeated. But the team has to fight against Darmstadt 98 for an extremely long time. Kaiserslautern can be satisfied - even without a win on the 7th matchday.
Darmstadt 98 missed the return to the promotion ranks in the 2nd Bundesliga. The team of trainer Torsten Lieberknecht did not get more than 1: 1 (1: 0) against Arminia Bielefeld and is therefore stuck in fourth place. Hamburger SV and 1. FC Heidenheim passed the lilies with victories.
Braydon Manu (8') gave Darmstadt the lead before Robin Hack (90') equalized late on. The Bundesliga relegated team, who started poorly, remained undefeated in the third game under new coach Daniel Scherning. Nevertheless, Arminia is still stuck in the table cellar.
The Lilien got off to a better start in front of 13,860 spectators without their yellow card suspended captain Fabian Holland, Manu tunneled Martin Fraisl with the first shot. The race to catch up continues: Hannover 96 celebrated their fourth win in a row. Coach Stefan Leitl's team won 1-0 (1-0) at Hansa Rostock on the seventh match day and climbed to fifth place in the table.
Maximilian Beier (41st, penalty kick) scored for Hanover, the Rostockers around the strong Kai Pröger were no longer rewarded for their performance improvement in the second half. Hansa has been waiting for a home win against 96 for over 18 years and is eleventh in the table.
After the successes of the past few weeks, Hannover started unchanged for the third time in a row and acted more energetically, purposefully, simply had more of the game. After a few missed opportunities, Beier, who had been fouled himself, scored from the penalty spot. After that there wasn't much from Hannover, duels were lost, the passes became less precise - and Rostock had some good opportunities. The game remained exciting until the final phase.
1. FC Kaiserslautern scored again away from home. The promoted team played 0-0 at SV Sandhausen and is still unbeaten abroad. Coach Dirk Schuster's team is in the top third of the table. Sandhausen, who missed their third win of the season, remains in the bottom half.
In an uneventful first half, both teams found it extremely difficult to attack in front of 11,387 spectators. The SVS had advantages and was more likely to seek a degree. But there was hardly any real danger for FCK goalkeeper Andreas Luthe. After the change of sides, Kaiserslautern became a little more active. Opportunities such as those provided by Sandhausen's David Kinsombi (64th) and Alexander Schirow (80th) were few and far between.
