Let's take a look at the breakdown of trades.

Trade details:

  • Wizards receive: Kristaps Porzingis

  • Mavericks get:Spencer Dinwiddie and Davis Bertans

This deal features Porzingis, a former NBA All-Star.

The Mavericks also receive Dinwiddie as a secondary ballhandler, to be used alongside Luka Doncic, their star guard. Dinwiddie is currently back on the court after sustaining a torn ACL in 2013. He is averaging 12.6 point, 5.8 assists, and 4.7 rebounds through 44 matches this season.

Bertans is best known for his 3-point shooting. He has appeared in only 34 games and averaged 5.7 points per game while shooting 31.9 percent from the deep.
