Next fight for Jake Paul: "Problem Child" to face Tommy Fury at Madison Square Garden, Showtime PPV

Jake Paul is making his return to boxing. In a Showtime PPV show, Tommy Fury will face Jake Paul, the 25-year old, at Madison Square Garden in New York on Aug. 6. The bout will take place over eight rounds at cruiserweight.

After Fury stated that he had signed the contract, Paul announced the news via social media. Paul also announced that Amanda Serrano, a former champion in eight divisions, will be competing on the card. Brenda Carabajal will be her opponent. Paul stated that both bouts would be considered main events.

Paul (5-0-4 KOs), a YouTube sensation who is now a professional pugilist, has just finished his best year with two wins over former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Whiteley and another stunning finish to Ben Askren, former MMA champion.

Paul and Woodley went to great lengths in their August meeting. Fury had to withdraw from a December bout due to an undisclosed injury, so Paul needed Woodley to return to the ring within two weeks. The fight turned into a tense brawl, before Paul scored a nasty knockout punch later in the fight.

Paul stated that he wasn't certain if he would agree to another possible matchup against Tommy, after he pulled out from our matchup last season. "But knocking out Fury was just too tempting to pass up. I have proven that I am committed to boxing, in and outside of the ring. I have promoted fights, championed fighters and earned fighter pay. I even knocked out my opponents. The Furys can't say the same. They are selfish tossers. The world will be able to see me on August 6 at Madison Square Garden. It's an honor to fight alongside some of the most respected professional boxers in the history of the sport.

Fury, 23 years old, earned his opportunity at Paul when he was on the undercard for the Woodley fight in Cleveland. He narrowly defeated Anthony Taylor, and looked less than stellar during his fight against Daniel Bocianski in April. He is currently 8-0 and has four knockouts in his short career.
