NFL coaches and executives ranked Lamar Jackson as the top 8 QB

Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens quarterback, has been on many lists heading into the 2021 season. Since his 2018 debut, the former NFL MVP has made headlines.

NFL coaches and executives ranked Lamar Jackson as the top 8 QB

Jackson is always able to make it onto the list of top quarterbacks in football. It's a good thing too.

To compile a list identifying the NFL's top-10 players for 2021, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler surveyed over 50 executives, coaches and scouts. Jackson was ranked at the same number as his jersey, No. 8.

Jackson is regarded as one of the top quarterbacks in the league, so it's not surprising. Surprisingly, there are a few other quarterbacks who rank ahead of Jackson.

Are Lamar Jackson's rankings fair?

At No. At No. 6. 6 and No. 7 are quarterbacks Matthew Stafford, Dak Prescott. Both perform admirably, but none have enjoyed the same success as Jackson.

You could make the case if ESPN focuses on passing performance only. However, Jackson uses his feet to attack opposing defenses that neither Prescott nor Stafford have.

One veteran NFL offensive player saw Jackson's inability to run as a problem when trailing.

"People are starting to figure him out. The guys on the list can do it in the two-minute drill. He's not there yet. Running is great but throwing from behind can make it very difficult.

Jackson has been subject to this criticism before.

One AFC Scout believes that the Ravens can "tailor things around" Jackson to help him become a better passer .

Although No.8 seems high for Lamar Jackson, he isn't paying attention. While 8 may seem high for Lamar Jackson it is not. It will only add another burden to his shoulders.
