Oregon Ducks remain at No. 6, Kansas moves up to No. 1 in AP Top 25 basketball poll

The Oregon Ducks stayed put at No. 6 while Kansas claimed the No. 1 spot in The Associated Press NCAA men's basketball poll released on Monday.

The Ducks (26-4, 14-2 Pac-12) have won five of their last six games, including a nail-biter at Stanford on Saturday, where Jordan Bell's tip-in with 14 seconds left gave Oregon a 75-73 victory.

Kansas (26-3) moved up two places to the top spot, earning 58 first-place votes -- including The Oregonian/Oregonlive.com's Tyson Alger's -- Monday from the 65-member national media panel.

Villanova (27-3) kept its spot at No. 2 despite losing to Butler last week and earned two No. 1 votes.

The Pac-12's UCLA (26-3), got three No. 1 votes and moved up from fifth to third after its win over Arizona on Saturday.

Gonzaga (29-1) dropped from first to fourth place after losing its first game of the season, an upset by BYU on Saturday. The Zags, who had been No. 1 for the last four polls, received two first-place votes.
