Simone Biles takes bronze in the balance beam finals, winning her seventh Olympic medal

After her withdrawal from vault, uneven bars, and floor competitions last week, Team USA gymnast, Jessica Smith, won the bronze medal in balance beam finals at 2020 Games.

"I am pretty happy. I didn't expect to win a medal. Biles stated that he just came out and attempted to do a good beam setup. These two were right next to me. They did an amazing job. They are deserving of one or two stars after I saw them train so hard.

She said, "Just to be able to compete at the Olympics again is amazing."

Biles has now won the second consecutive Olympic bronze medal on beam, following the Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games 2016. Biles is now tied for seventh place withShannon MillerFor the title of U.S. Olympic Gymnast with the most medals. Simone holds the record for U.S. gymnasts with the most Olympic Gold medals.
