Update: USC topped Washington State, 86-77, on the road in the teams’ previous meeting this season. … The Trojans are looking to solidify their NCAA Tournament chances with a sweep over the Cougars and Washington, which also visits the Galen Center on Saturday. Ken Pomeroy, the college basketball statistician, gives the Trojans a 77 percent chance of winning both games. … Four of Washington State’s five leading scorers are seniors, led by forward Josh Hawkinson, who averages team highs for points with 15.5 and rebounds with 10.1. Hawkinson is 11 rebounds shy of setting the school career record. … The Trojans’ next win would be their 22nd, the most since the 2008-09 season, the final of Tim Floyd’s tenure.
