These monsters use this power whenever they're assaulted by some thing. They will feign dead and await the creature to leave, and while they are waiting, an Axolotl will probably be gradually recovering its health. It's a helpful feature that makes it a rewarding animal, but can you tame it?
Regrettably, it does not look like you are able to tame an Axolotls. It will accept no type of food from you to gain its trust. Aside from those methods, you cannot control the monster as if it had been a wolf. But you can use a spoonful of tropical fish to attempt breeding it. You could also attach one to a lead and deliver it to a caged area of water that you have blocked off. These creatures require water. If they're caught out of water, then they gradually die on land unless it's raining or there's a thunderstorm going on.
