At the top of the lists are consistently LG TVs with OLED displays, where each pixel is self-illuminating. LCD devices with backlighting do not deliver quite as excellent images, but they are also good and, above all, significantly cheaper. When it comes to power consumption, the technologies differ little; almost all test candidates only performed satisfactorily here.

Until recently, there were no small OLED televisions, but with the LG OLED42C27LA, a device with this screen technology is now at the top with a quality rating of 1.8, even in the size class up to 43 inches. The TV not only offers a very good picture, but also delivers good sound, which is very remarkable for its size. In addition, the device is very versatile and easy to use. Among the medium-sized televisions, the LG OLED48C27LA has the edge with an overall rating of 1.7. It costs an average of 1220 euros, delivers a very good picture and is very versatile. Sound and handling rated Stiftung Warentest good.

If you want a very good sound, you can use the LG OLED48A29LA, which is also much cheaper at around 910 euros. Its picture is not quite as good as the number 1, but otherwise the device is equivalent. Quality rating: 1.8.

The price-performance winner comes from the same house. The LG 50UQ80009LB is already available for around 512 euros, but it achieved a good rating in all categories except for power consumption. His overall grade is also good (2.1).

With an average price of 2000 euros, the LG OLED65C27LA is a little cheaper. It also received an overall rating of 1.6 from Stiftung Warentest, but was not rated quite as well in detail. However, the difference should hardly be 500 euros and hardly be seen or heard.
