USB-C in the picture: Design of the iPhone 15 Pro apparently leaked

Computer graphics, allegedly made from real engineering drawings, show the design of the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro from all sides. They confirm all previous rumours, including the USB-C port, of which a photo also appears.

Just a few weeks ago, ntv.de compiled what is already known about the upcoming iPhone 15. "9to5Mac" has now had the appropriate computer graphics for the Pro version made using CAD drawings that Apple allegedly sent to a Chinese factory. They largely coincide with rumors from various sources, which is why there is a high probability that they will hit the mark. In addition, a photo appeared almost at the same time that is supposed to show the new USB-C input.

The drawings come from Max Weinbach, who leaked CAD drawings of the iPhone 14 Pro early last year. Such plans usually come directly from the manufacturer and are made available, for example, to factories that produce protective cases. Since this accessory must fit perfectly, the dimensions are exactly the same as those of the upcoming devices.

According to this, the frame and display glass of the iPhone 15 Pro are actually so rounded or curved at the edges that they merge almost seamlessly, as with the Apple Watch. The edges of the display are also narrower and the camera hump on the back is a bit more powerful than on the iPhone 14 Pro.

The CAD drawings also seem to confirm that the new Pro will not have physical buttons but will have touch surfaces on the sides. Since only gaps can be seen in the graphics, this cannot be said with certainty, but "9to5Mac" considers it very likely.

Clearly visible is the USB-C connector, which will replace the Lightning connector, which is aging and being retired by the EU. Leaker Unknownz21 posted a photo on Twitter that is said to show the underside of an iPhone 15 Pro with the new entrance.

It could be real Because screws and bores correspond to the CAD drawings. The rounded edges are also clearly visible. A frame made of brushed metal can also be seen. It could be titanium, which is rumored to be used instead of the stainless steel currently used.
