Seattle police are investigating a Seattle City Light employee for suspected voyeurism in a bathroom on city property.
A City Light employee first discovered a concealed camera Feb. 17 at the South Service Center in the 3600 block of Fourth Avenue South in Sodo.
The employee found the camera in a men's restroom located in a restricted area of the building. He removed the camera and notified his supervisor, who notified his manager.
However, police believe that manager is the man who installed the camera.
The reporting employee and supervisor grew suspicious of the manager's lack of action on the camera discovery, so on Feb. 22 they reported the incident further up the command chain, Seattle police say.
Seattle police were called to investigate the matter and took custody of the camera.
Detectives continue to look into the case; the camera was submitted for forensic testing.
Investigators are uncertain how many people were victimized, but detectives say that members of the general public were likely not captured on camera.
The suspect was not booked into King County Jail. Detectives will review the case before making a decision on detainment.
City Light placed the manager on administrative leave. Staff has checked all City Light bathrooms and have not found any additional cameras.
