Mr. Healdsburg Pageant: Everybody's favorite male beauty pageant is coming back to the Raven Performing Arts Theater in Healdsburg this Saturday. Starting at 7:30 p.m., the annual Raven fundraiser will include zaniness, craziness, madness and more as men compete in the standard pageant categories of beachwear, formalwear, talent, and interview. Look for a few familiar faces, and a few new ones, as well. This year's theme is "Just a Bunch of Clowns!," which is a perfect indication of what you can look forward to. Admission is $40-$45. Oscars Laughter Party: Before Sunday’s Academy Awards show, enjoy a night of comedy at the Arlene Francis Center in Santa Rosa. Public Star Party: Head out to the Robert Ferguson Observatory this Saturday for its monthly star party in Sugarloaf. Starting at dusk, view the night sky through the Observatory’s three main telescopes, or through additional telescopes in the front of the building. Adults are $3, kids under 18 are free. Brunch on Bald Mountain: This Saturday, hike to the top of Bald Mountain in Sugarloaf for a brunch with a view. Not up for the hike but still want to enjoy the scenic meal? Hitch a ride to the top with one of the Team Sugarloaf vehicles. Regardless of method, those who reach the summit will be treated to a delicious picnic brunch and a panoramic view. Red Carpet Evening: Clover Theater in Cloverdale presents their 3rd annual Red Carpet Evening. for a night of glitz, local food and wine, auction prizes, fundraising and the Academy Awards. The Envelope, Please: This Sunday, dress up and head out to the Mystic Theatre in Petaluma to watch the Academy Awards on the big screen in an event that supports Petaluma Community Access.
