The deputies who want to keep the phone of the Congress after losing the seat will have to pay the Chamber almost 1,500 euros, since they are iPhone terminals that have been recently renewed, according to what parliamentary sources have confirmed to Europa Press.
When they arrived at the Congress, all the deputies received a 'technological kit' made up of an iPhone phone and an iPad tablet as tools to help them in their parliamentary work. When the Parliament is dissolved this Tuesday, when the decree calling for the elections on July 23 was published, those of their lordships who have lost their seats will have the opportunity to keep the terminals, upon payment of an amount to the chamber.
This option will also be offered to those who maintain the seat because they are still members of the Permanent Deputation but do not renew the minutes in the July 23 elections.
At its meeting this Thursday, the Board of the Permanent Deputation has revalidated the protocol for the return of the terminals and the possibility has been maintained that the deputies can keep these devices for a price that depends on the years of use.
Thus, those who still have the old mobile, iPhone 8 that was provided at the beginning of the legislature, will only have to pay 84.86 euros to keep them, but those who had already switched to the new iPhone 14 must pay 1,470.13 to keep their mobile .
In the case of iPad tablets, which had not been renewed this legislature either, the price to pay to keep them has been set at 149.82 euros.
