The Cup of Pasapalabra teachers begins. A duel between eight mythical contestants of the program, all winners of the rosco can. Not in vain, among all, a total of 7,617,000 euros were taken from the contest. Now, they return to face each other, putting back to the test of their knowledge and mental speed. A singular battle whose first assault will take place on Monday (20:00 hours) and whose great end will be issued on January 18.
With the entrance on the scene of the Cup of Teachers, Pasapalabra makes a parenthesis in the regular season, where currently Orestes Barbero and Jaime Conde free a battle to a dog's face by a boat of more than half a million euros. Instead, the presenter Roberto Leal welcomes the eight teachers selected for an event with which the program celebrates its 20 years on television (with two stages in antenna 3, from 2000 to 2006 and 2020 to today, and another in Telecinco, from 2007 to 2019).
According to the chain, the eight participants of the Cup of Teachers will be facing two couples. The winners of the first duels will play two semifinals that will determine who will be at the grand final of January 18. At stake, 50,000 euros.
For the occasion, each delivery of the Pasapalabra Teacher Cup will be dedicated to a specific topic such as film, music or television, which will serve to review the last two decades. As usual in the format, the program will have guests that will help the contestants to add seconds for the final test. Coral Bistuer, Alicia Sennovilla, Miriam Díaz Aroca or Gabino Diego are some of the well-known faces that will pass through the set in the previous rounds.
It is not the first time that Pasapalabra issues a special edition of this type. In 2017, during the stage of the program in Telecinco, the Pasapalabra Supercopa was played, whose victor was David Leo, who pocketed 100,000 euros. More recently, in the past Christmas Eve, two ancient contestants, Marco Antonio and Luis de Lama, beat in a duel in which none took the 100,000 euros from the special boat.
The competition has eight winners, three women and five men, who left footprint in Pasapalabra. To begin with, there are Eduardo Benito, the contestant that most money from the boat has conquered to date (2,190,000 euros) or Antonio Ruiz, Fran González and Juanpe Gómez, three other participants who achieved more than one million euros.
As in all All Stars, there are also outstanding absences, such as the winners of the boat at the second stage of the program in Antena 3, Pablo Díaz, who last July 1,828,000 euros, and Sofia Álvarez, who in September won 456,000 euros Nor are Lilit Manukyan, the first winner whose mother tongue is not Spanish, nor David Leo, the winner of the second most numerous boat in history and who has already come to other special issues of Pasapalabra.
