Maritime rescue has rescued a total of 287 immigrants aboard five boats in Canary Islands from Wednesday afternoon and until early Thursday, as reported by the Emergency Coordinating and Safety Center of the 112 of the Canary Islands.

Specifically, during the afternoon of Wednesday rescue rescued 66 people of sub-Saharan origin when they were in waters near the island of Gran Canaria, so they were transferred to the dock of Arguineguín, in Mogan.

Once in this dock they were assisted by the sanitary device of the Canary Emergency Service (SC) and Red Cross having to transfer two of them to the hospital with minor injuries.

Subsequently, four other vessels were located in the afternoon with 221 migrants at different points of the archipelago. In this way, Marítimo Rescue after going to the rescue moved 108 people - 39 Maghrebi and 69 sub-Saharians - who traveled on board two ketries.

In this regard, they point out that from these 108 people rescued, six of them had to be transferred to the hospital after being attended by the sanitary device at the dock during the past night.

As for the other 113 people rescued, of sub-Saharan origin, which were on board two pneumatic boats, were transferred to the pier of Puerto del Rosario, on the island of Fuerteventura, where after being assisted during the night by health personnel, one Of them he had to be evacuated to the hospital.
