"Avengers": Two "Avengers" films announced for 2025

Marvel President Kevin Feige (49) confirmed two new "Avengers" films at Comic-Con in San Diego. According to the social media announcement, "Avengers: The Kang Dynasty" is scheduled to hit theaters on May 2, 2025, followed by "Avengers: Secret Wars" on November 7 of the same year. Details about the plot or cast are not yet known.

Feige also gave an overview of the planned Marvel projects. The currently ongoing, fourth phase of the Marvel Universe ends this year with the series "She-Hulk" (August 17, 2022) and the "Black Panther" sequel "Wakanda Forever" (November 11, 2022).

The film "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania" heralds the fifth phase in February 2023. It includes, among other things, the third part of "Guardians of the Galaxy" and the second season of "Loki". The film "Thunderbolts" is scheduled to conclude in the summer of 2024. Phase six starts on November 8, 2024 with the reboot of the "Fantastic Four". "Avengers: The Kang Dynasty" and "Avengers: Secret Wars" will follow in 2025.

The announcement of the new "Avengers" films comes three years after the great success of "Avengers: Endgame" (2019). The flick, directed by Anthony (52) and Joe Russo (51), grossed $2.79 billion worldwide. It is the second most successful film of all time after "Avatar".
