Madeleine of Sweden's first daughter turns nine. On Instagram, the proud mom shares a cute photo of the birthday boy with his siblings. For daughter Leonore, the picture has a special meaning.
Madeleine of Sweden published a photo with her children in front of a special backdrop in an Instagram post. Adrienne, Nicolas and Leonore are standing by the water with their mother, high-rise buildings can be seen in the background. "Nine years later, Leonore is back in NYC!" Wrote the 40-year-old to the picture she shared with her approximately 317,000 Instagram followers. Their daughter was born in the "Big Apple" and celebrated her birthday on February 20.
A few days ago, Princess Madeleine Leonore had already lovingly congratulated Instagram with a sweet picture on her day of honor. "Turned nine today. Happy birthday to our sweet Leonore who smiles every day!" She also published a photo of the nine-year-old beaming at the camera in a summery outfit in front of a beach backdrop.
Madeleine of Sweden was in a relationship with Swedish lawyer Jonas Claes Bergstrom from 2002 to April 2010. In 2006, the couple lived in New York City for six months. A subsequent engagement in 2009 was broken in 2010. Fleeing the ensuing media frenzy, the princess flew back to the United States to work at the Childhood organization's New York office. She met and fell in love with the British-American investment banker Christopher O'Neill through friends.
The number eight in line to the Swedish throne and the businessman finally got engaged in October 2012, nine months later the wedding was celebrated in the Royal Palace in Stockholm. Daughter Leonore was born in 2014, son Nicolas in 2015 and daughter Adrienne in 2018. Madeleine has been living in Florida with her family since the summer of 2018 after having lived in London for a while.
