Freiburg/Ellwangen (dpa/lsw) - Several people were injured, some seriously, in a brawl in the state initial reception center in Freiburg. A 33-year-old man was taken into police custody. According to the security service, several opponents are said to have hit each other with poles on Tuesday evening, according to a police report on Wednesday. When the patrol officers arrived, the opponents had separated. However, the men suffered injuries. According to the police, some are said to have changed their clothes to cover up their involvement. The police suspect that a fight at noon with some of the same participants was the trigger for the renewed argument.
A dispute also escalated in the state initial reception center in Ellwangen (Ostalbkreis) on Wednesday night. One person was taken to a hospital with injuries. According to police, 30 people were involved. The reason was probably an argument between two residents and employees of the security service, because a smoke detector had probably been handled and triggered.
