Baden-Württemberg: CDU parliamentary group wants winter aid for the south-west economy

Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - The CDU parliamentary group wants to relieve companies in the state with winter aid. Group leader Manuel Hagel and Economics Minister Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut (CDU) spoke to business associations on Monday about specific measures, as the German Press Agency in Stuttgart learned. Hagel then announced that they wanted to put concrete help on the track this week and thus close the gap left by the federal aid programs. How comprehensive the aid program will be was initially unclear.

"According to our ideas, this bridge should consist in a first step of a fast state liquidity program with interest and repayment relief, with an efficient application process, crisis advice for companies and an investment program for energy-saving investments," emphasized Hagel. The previously announced federal aid would come with a long delay and for many too late. "With the short-term winter aid, we want to supplement the weaknesses of the federal relief program in a meaningful way. Our companies now need a strong and resolute signal of support. We will deliver that."
