Baden-Württemberg: District Administrator Walter re-elected as President of the District Council

Fellbach (dpa / lsw) - The Tübingen district administrator Joachim Walter will remain president of the Baden-Württemberg district association for another four years. The 62-year-old CDU politician was unanimously confirmed in office on Monday at the district assembly in Fellbach (Rems-Murr district). Walter has led the municipal association since 2013 and has also been Vice President of the German District Association since 2014. Prime Minister Winfried Kretschmann (Greens) also wanted to give a speech at the meeting in Fellbach. Municipalities expect more support from the state in the energy and refugee crisis.
