Stuttgart (dpa/lsw) - In 2022, every resident of Baden-Württemberg spent an average of 54 euros on flushing toilets. The amount is calculated from the costs of drinking water consumption and the share of toilet flushing in water consumption, as announced by the State Statistical Office in Stuttgart on Monday. With drinking water consumption averaging 125 liters per person per day, around 35 liters are used for flushing the toilet.
In 2022, the average consumer costs for drinking water and waste water in the country will be 200 euros per person. In addition, there is an average rainwater fee of 39 euros. The total water costs are therefore just under 240 euros per person.
