Baden-Württemberg: Lucha wants to keep masks compulsory on buses and trains

Baden-Baden (dpa / lsw) - According to Health Minister Manne Lucha (Greens), the mask requirement on buses and trains should be retained for the time being. "We want to continue this mask requirement (...)", said Lucha on Monday in the SWR Aktuell program of the Südwestrundfunk.

Lucha spoke before a digital conference of federal and state health ministers in the afternoon (4 p.m.). It should also be about the obligation to wear a mask on buses and trains.

Most recently, there was no uniform line among the transport ministers on the obligation to wear masks in local public transport. Some countries wanted to abolish the obligation as early as January 1st, others only after the winter due to the continuing tense situation in the pandemic, according to the conference of transport ministers last Tuesday.
