Baden-Württemberg: Man flees from the police and falls on the tracks

Pforzheim (dpa / lsw) - An escaped prisoner fell five meters while fleeing the police and fell on the railway tracks. The man was seriously injured, a police spokesman said on Saturday. The officers were called because the man had threatened someone with a knife. He then fled and climbed down an embankment over a crash barrier. He fell five meters over a wall and landed in the track bed. Paramedics took the seriously injured to a hospital. The railway line in Pforzheim (Enzkreis) was closed for a short time. The police spokesman could not say why the man was in custody.
