Göppingen (dpa / lsw) - National handball player Marcel Schiller has extended his contract with the Bundesliga team Frisch Auf Göppingen by two more years. The Swabians announced this on Friday. "He is an absolute top performer and a figure we can identify with in our club," said sporting director Christian Schöne about the left winger, who has been playing for Göppingen since 2013.
However, Schiller is currently absent from his team due to a serious foot injury. The 31-year-old is unlikely to play any more games this year, as the Göppingen company announced last Monday. His participation in the World Cup from January 11 to 29, 2023 in Poland and Sweden is also in danger.
