Baden-Württemberg: Overhead line damage: Repair fixed

Mannheim (dpa / lsw) - Damage to an overhead line near Mannheim's main train station has been repaired since Wednesday afternoon. This was announced by a spokeswoman for Deutsche Bahn. The damage had led to delays in long-distance traffic and also cancellations in local traffic on Tuesday. In the morning, long-distance trains could not reach the main station and had to be diverted. Around Tuesday noon, trains were able to stop there again and a local transport route between Mannheim and Ludwigshafen that had been interrupted due to the disruption was also released again. What was the cause of the defect in the overhead line remained unclear.
