Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - According to a new survey in Baden-Württemberg, the CDU is overtaking the Greens in favor with voters. In the "Baden-Württemberg trend" of the opinion research institute Insa for the "Bild" newspaper (Thursday), the Union comes to 28 percent, which is two percentage points more than in a survey in July. The Greens, on the other hand, lost three percentage points and ended up at 26 percent. SPD (13 percent) and FDP (10 percent) lose one percentage point each, while the AfD (13 percent) gains three points.
"The traffic light in the federal government helps the Union in the country," said Insa boss Hermann Binkert of the newspaper. "Since all three traffic light parties are losing votes, the Greens could only provide the prime minister in this alliance. The CDU could lead both black-green and a German coalition." The German coalition means an alliance of the CDU, SPD and FDP.
The general development in the parties - that the AfD in particular is growing and the Greens are losing - was already evident last week when SWR and "Stuttgarter Zeitung" published the results of a survey by Infratest dimap on their behalf.
