Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - CEO Alexander Wehrle has defended Bruno Labbadia's commitment as the new coach of VfB Stuttgart, which is threatened with relegation, against criticism. "In the end, it's the sporting results that count," Wehrle told the "Bild" newspaper (Wednesday) and asked for patience. "It's about his meticulousness and passion that he will pass on to the team. Then the comments will be more positive."
Labbadia coached the Bundesliga soccer club between December 2010 and August 2013, and he was repeatedly criticized by the public, especially in the last year of this phase. Some observers in the VfB environment therefore judge the return campaign negatively. "At a traditional club, emotions and passion are always involved," explained Wehrle. There are also many people at VfB "who are looking forward to Bruno".
