Baden-Württemberg: Volleyball players have to dodge in the exhibition hall

Friedrichshafen (dpa/lsw) - The Bundesliga volleyball players from VfB Friedrichshafen have to move to an exhibition hall for their home games by the end of the year. The renovation of the new home arena in Hangar R at Lake Constance Airport has been further delayed, as the German record champions announced on Friday. "We were probably too optimistic about this and won't be able to play our first home game of the season in the hangar yet," said Friedrichshafen's managing director Thilo Späth-Westerholt.

In the past season, VfB had to play all home games in Ulm because the Friedrichshafen ZF Arena could not be used due to construction defects. In Ulm, coach Mark Lebedew's team will also start the Champions League on November 10, because the construction in the exhibition hall will not be completed by then.
