Bavaria: 1860 Munich also loses under Jacobacci

Nothing again! Even with new coach Jacobacci, 1860 Munich cannot win. The crisis worsens. The dream of promotion is as good as gone.

Munich (dpa / lby) - Maurizio Jacobacci was initially unable to help TSV 1860 Munich out of the sporting crisis and experienced a bitter coaching debut in the Grünwalder Stadium. The "lions" without a win since the end of January lost 0:1 (0:1) against Viktoria Köln on Saturday and can finally tick off promotion after the next setback in the 3rd soccer league. The gap to relegation place three is twelve points after the 25th matchday.

Jacobacci was signed on Sunday as Michael Köllner's successor and the change of coach initially seemed to do the cracked "Lion" psyche good. The Giesingers, who had not won in four games under interim coach Günther Gorenzel, started with a lot going forward. Raphael Holzhauser and Albion Vrenezi repeatedly prevailed on the flanks.

From the middle of the first half, however, the hosts acted more and more sloppy in the build-up and hardly a ball landed on the center forward Marcel Bär. David Philipp (41st) took advantage of Munich's inaccuracies and scored unchallenged after a counterattack to make it 1-0. The fans acknowledged the deficit with loud whistles.

After the break, the six-year-olds had a lot more of the game, but against well-assorted guests they simply lacked the penetrating power on the offensive. The lack of confidence after just two points from the previous five games made itself felt. Great chances like Joseph Boyamba's conclusion in the Cologne penalty area were scarce.

The Munich pushed without success. In the end, the tenth defeat of the season could no longer be averted. The ambitious "lions" are slowly having to be careful that they are no closer to the relegation zone than to the promotion ranks.
