Aschau im Chiemgau (dpa / lby) - After the murder of a young woman in Aschau im Chiemgau in Upper Bavaria, the police are looking for a jogger as a witness. It's about a man who "walked through Aschau early in the morning on the night of the crime," said a police spokesman. Specifically, between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m. in the Kampenwandstrasse area, i.e. near the nightclub that the 23-year-old had visited. Other witnesses reported about the man. The police spokesman emphasized that the man was wanted as a witness and not as a suspect.
The student did not come home at the beginning of October after visiting the disco. Hours later, a passerby discovered her body in the Prien, which flows through Aschau. There were no arrests more than two weeks after the crime, and around 60 investigators are still working on the case in a special commission. By Wednesday, 287 tips had been received, the police said, and 150 witnesses had been heard.
