Bavaria: Booming bass from the car: 160 euros fine

Nuremberg (dpa/lby) - Vibrating pens on the shelf, interference lines on the screen and sound waves that flowed through the bodies of the police officers: a tuned car with deafening music caught the eye of a patrol in Nuremberg. Several minutes before the source of the booming bass could be seen, the officers perceived the sound waves in their own vehicle, the police said on Tuesday. In the checked car, the patrol would have discovered a music system reaching up to the ceiling instead of the back seat.

Since no technical defects were found on the vehicle, according to the police, there was only a fine of 160 euros because the music system was turned up too loud. "Nice cars and special music systems can be shown - but please within the limits allowed and in such a way that no one else is disturbed," wrote the police on Facebook. The driver of the tuned car showed insight at the end of September and promised improvement for the future.
