Bavaria: Children spray graffiti on the Autobahn bridge: A9 briefly closed

Bindlach (dpa / lby) - Three children sprayed graffiti on pillars of a motorway bridge on the A9 while traffic was running in Bindlach in Upper Franconia in the Bayreuth district. As the police announced on Friday, the Autobahn 9 was briefly closed in this area in the direction of Berlin late Thursday afternoon to prevent worse things from happening. Several citizens had previously informed the police about the situation via an emergency call.

A civilian patrol from the Bayreuth Traffic Police Inspectorate found the eleven and twelve-year-old children near the bridge on Bindlacher Allee. They immediately fled in the direction of a nearby supermarket and were caught there by the police. One of the three boys had ended his escape earlier. The children were handed over to the respective legal guardians together with the used spray cans. The blocking of the highway could be lifted after almost a quarter of an hour.
