Bavaria: Eurowings pilot strike hits Munich again

Munich (dpa / lby) - Flights in Munich were canceled on the second day of the pilots' strike at Eurowings. The airport listed numerous flights as canceled on Tuesday, according to a spokesman, a total of 24 flights were canceled. Six - three takeoffs and three landings - should take place as planned.

The three take-offs and landings of Eurowings Discover in Munich should also take place as planned. The pilots don't go on strike there. This also applies to the Austrian subsidiary Eurowings Europe, which manages the Eurowings connections at Nuremberg Airport, so there should not be any failures there on Tuesday.

In total, the pilots at the Lufthansa subsidiary want to go on strike for three days, i.e. until Wednesday. According to Eurowings, a total of 240 of 488 flights were canceled on Monday. It is the second strike within a few weeks. The collective bargaining dispute is about, among other things, a reduction in weekly working hours and additional days off.
