Bavaria: fire in a family house: 83-year-old found dead

Pegnitz (dpa / lby) - After a room fire in the Bayreuth district, emergency services found an 83-year-old dead. It was initially unclear whether the man died on Thursday as a result of the fire in the family home in Pegnitz. This was announced by the police headquarters in Upper Franconia on Friday. Local residents noticed the fire and called the fire department. Firefighters quickly got the fire under control, police said. Other people were not injured, the man was alone in the house. There was no initial information about the cause of the fire. According to initial estimates, the damage amounts to several thousand euros.
