Grub am Forst (dpa/lby) - Twelve geese were decapitated and left lying on private property in Grub am Forst in Upper Franconia. According to the police on Monday, five more geese were stolen from the secured area in the Coburg district. A spokesman assumed the same suspects as in a very similar act in October 2021. At that time, 14 geese, two chickens and a rooster were beheaded or stolen and 100 trout fished from a pond on the property.
When asked, the owner was at a loss as to who could be behind the crimes. He estimated the damage at several thousand euros. According to him, the perpetrators left 16 geese alive between Saturday and Sunday.
