Bavaria: Hartel is to remain head of Wacker Chemie until 2028

Munich (dpa / lby) - Wacker Chemie has prematurely extended the contract with CEO Christian Hartel. The supervisory board confirmed the 51-year-old Hartel in office for another five years, the MDax group announced after the meeting on Wednesday. His contract initially ran until the end of October 2023, now it runs until 2028. Hartel has worked at Wacker Chemie since 2002 and took over the management of the company in 2021.
