Bodenwöhr (dpa / lby) - A 21-year-old drove twice as fast as allowed through a through-road in the Upper Palatinate and then accelerated even more when he was supposed to be stopped by the police. He fled at a speed of up to 200 kilometers per hour on country and federal roads, the police reported on Monday. The rapid chase finally ended on Sunday night near Bodenwöhr (Schwandorf district), where the young man was stopped.
A subsequent drug and alcohol test revealed no evidence of impairment to the driver. However, he will now be reported for his behavior and a report will be sent to the driver's license office.
