Würzburg (dpa / lby) - A 37-year-old man triggered a bomb alarm in a bank branch in Würzburg. He was arrested, the police said. Accordingly, the 37-year-old came into the bank with a piece of luggage on Monday afternoon and claimed that there was a bomb in it. Shortly thereafter, the police arrested the man in the bank and temporarily blocked the immediate vicinity. The police said it quickly became apparent that the threat was not serious and that there was no bomb in the luggage. An explosives dog was in action.
According to the information, the suspect is now being investigated, among other things, on suspicion of threatening and also disturbing the public peace through the threat of criminal offenses. He was taken to a district hospital.
