On Wednesday night, however, there was not yet an accumulation of accidents in Bavaria, according to a query at the police headquarters. The DWD had already warned of ice and the associated impairments in road traffic on Tuesday.
On Wednesday morning, freezing rain can be expected again in the Alps and in the southern foreland, later also in the northern foreland and in southern Lower Bavaria, it was said. There is an increased risk of severe weather due to black ice and the risk of an ice layer for several hours. Also on Thursday night, the DWD expects danger from black ice near the Alps.
