Bavaria: overtaking maneuver ends with a collision and four seriously injured

Lohr am Main (dpa / lby) - Four people were seriously injured in a collision between two cars near Lohr am Main (Main-Spessart district). A driver wanted to overtake a column of vehicles with his car on Tuesday morning between Lohr and Neustadt am Main and, for reasons that are still unclear, skidded, the police said. The driver of an oncoming car was able to dodge, the following car crashed head-on into the driver's side of the suspected cause of the accident. His car was thrown into a field and landed on its roof. The man and his two passengers were seriously injured, as was the driver of the oncoming car. All four were taken to hospital, two of them by rescue helicopter.
