Munich (dpa / lby) - The fire in a Munich apartment building caused damage of around half a million euros. Neighbors noticed smoke on the roof of the three-story house in the Bogenhausen district on Sunday morning and dialed the emergency call, the fire department said.
When the first emergency services arrived, the residents had already made themselves safe. Nobody was injured. In order to be able to extinguish the fire better, the fire brigade partially covered the roof of the house. For safety reasons, it was necessary to switch off the electricity in the building. Because the Stadtwerke employee was initially unable to enter the building, the electricity was switched off in part of the street for around two hours.
The home is reportedly uninhabitable at this time. The cause of the fire was not immediately clear.
