Winzer (dpa/lby) - After the New Year's Eve party, turn on the raclette grill again - this idea brought a young woman to the hospital in Lower Bavaria on New Year's Day. The 19-year-old turned on the device in her apartment in Winzer (Deggendorf district) and then fell asleep, the police said on Monday. The entire apartment was smoked by the grill, and the 19-year-old lost consciousness.
The young woman only got help from her mother, who wanted to visit her. This called the fire brigade, who pulled the plug on the smoking raclette grill. The 19-year-old was taken to a clinic as a precaution, but according to the police, "was not seriously injured".
