When Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins died unexpectedly at the age of 50 in a hotel room in Bogotá at the end of March, it was a severe shock for his bandmates and all fans. All planned concerts of the world tour and a performance at the Grammys are then canceled, and it is still not entirely clear how the Foo Fighters will continue. But now a "Best of" will be released, reminiscent of the good old days with Hawkins.

The release is a comprehensive reminder of 25 years of Foo Fighters, which saw vocalist Dave Grohl, guitarists Pat Smear and Chris Shifflet, bassist Nate Mendel and keyboardist Rami Jaffee with Taylor Hawkins on drums and offstage.

At the beginning of September there was already a tribute concert for the deceased musician. During the six-hour show, the teenager took his late father's place and performed the song "My Hero" with the band. 75,000 people in the audience - and countless other viewers on the streaming service Paramount and on YouTube - were enthusiastic.
