The successful BR series "Dahoam is Dahoam" will be continued. The responsible broadcasting council agreed in a meeting today to shoot at least 210 new episodes. The broadcaster announced this in a press release. Bettina Ricklefs, head of the feature film series program, on the decision: "The stories from Lansing are more topical than ever and inspire viewers across Germany on BR television and in the media library." This autumn, "Dahoam is Dahoam" is already celebrating its 15th anniversary. According to broadcaster information, more than 800,000 people have been watching the episodes on linear TV alone since it started on October 8, 2007. Almost 3,000 episodes have been broadcast to date. The series is set in the fictional Bavarian town of Lansing and is about family and everyday stories of the villagers. "Dahoam is Dahoam" runs from Monday to Thursday from 7:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on BR television.
