A drunk driver drove into a pond at a retirement home in Güglingen near Heilbronn. The 39-year-old was not injured early on Saturday morning and climbed out of the vehicle himself, the police said. The emergency services found the driver "clearly intoxicated," said a police spokesman. The 39-year-old will have to give up his driver's license. It was initially unclear how the car got into the small pond of all places. Police said the car was totaled.
