Marburg (dpa/lhe) - Activists from the Last Generation group blocked a street in Marburg on Thursday. Three people said they were stuck, so the road had to be closed for around two and a half hours. According to the information, a total of four men and women were involved in the action. The fire brigade released the three stuck people from the street, which was reopened to traffic in the evening. According to the police, the action led to a significant traffic obstruction in downtown Marburg.

The personal details of the three people who would have stuck themselves were recorded. The further procedure is the responsibility of the public prosecutor, said the police spokesman. According to the police, the four people are an 18-year-old and three men aged 19, 26 and 38. None of them lived in Hesse.

The protest group Last Generation has been organizing actions for months. Their aim is to persuade politicians to do more climate protection.
