Hesse: fire from wall decoration in Geisenheim town hall

Geisenheim (dpa/lhe) - A technical defect in an electronic device is believed to have caused a fire in the town hall of Geisenheim in the Rheingau. A spokesman for the West Hesse Police Headquarters in Wiesbaden announced that heavy smoke was coming out of a wall decoration on Wednesday. So there were no injuries. When the fire broke out, nobody was in the room. According to the information, there was no big flame. Because of the smoke, the room where the fire caught fire cannot be used for the time being. The extent of the damage was initially unclear.
